FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions:
Will communicating with an agent impact my NCAA eligibility status?
An agent may serve as an “advisor” at any point in your amateur career without jeopardizing your NCAA eligibility. You may not accept anything of value or sign any documents regarding representation with an agent or you will lose your amateur status.
What does it mean to be an MLBPA Certified Agent?
The certification process is made up of two components. The first requires a player on a Major League Baseball 40 man roster to designate the agent as their representative. The second involves a fairly extensive investigation into the agent’s educational and employment history, specifically focusing on any act that would put into question the agent’s integrity or loyalty to clients.
